Our amazing eddy has a feature role in 2013's spring blockbuster starring Tom Cruise and Morgan Freeman, OBLIVION!
Much of the film focuses on the Jack Harper's desire to live on Earth, where he has built a home in a secluded area near a lake to live out this dream. To power the home, Tom Cruise's character (Harper), has chosen to use an eddy wind turbine made by yours truly, Urban Green Energy!
Universal Studios bought eddy from UGE specifically to use in the movie. The turbine was installed on location in the Mammoth / June Lakes area in California, a beautiful mountainous environment - a perfect place to call home!
The Universal Studios set director explained to us how they decided to use our turbine:
"When we were developing our concept for his house and what his life in the future would look like. A question kept coming up in our minds, how will he will survive and live? We absolutely loved the look and the design of your turbine. It looked and fit perfectly to our futuristic world and design of our structure, simple and very elegant!"
