ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS — Wind turbines in the harbor would cost about $25,000 each and could be as tall as 60 feet, according to information presented to the Harbor Commission Tuesday.
Councilman Jacob Hoffman, the Borough Council’s liaison to the commission, along with Commissioner Frank McDonald said no locations for turbines have been decided. Hoffman has argued previously that the turbines could generate thousands of dollars in electricity from the wind.
Each year, the borough spends about $400,000 for electricity, he said.
